LAKELAND - Two Bay area men, accused in a string of church robberies, were caught red-handed in Indiana, according to Lakeland police.
William Osborne and Richard Todd, 19, were arrested after attempting to burglarize a catholic church in Indianapolis.
A priest from the church chased and tackled Todd as the men tried to escape through a broken window in the rectory, Lakeland Police officials said.
Indianapolis Police officers tracked them down to a nearby hotel and both men were arrested.
Todd and Osborne are suspects in several church burglaries in Pasco, Polk and Hillsborough counties that occurred between Dec. 6 and Dec. 20, 2006.
