ST. PETERSBURG - A 42-year-old man was arrested this morning and has been charged in four St. Petersburg armed robberies and one in Tampa, authorities say.
Lincoln W. Warkocz was picked up by the St. Petersburg Police Department’s special investigative unit, said St. Petersburg police spokesman George Kajtsa.

Warkocz was charged in a robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store on 3444 West Columbus Drive in Tampa, Kajtsa said. That robbery occurred on July 7.
He is also charged in four others in St. Petersburg, which occurred from July 5 through July 17 – at the Hess gas station at 9355 Fourth St. N. on July 5; at a Subway sandwich shop at 3135 34th St. N. on July 6; at a 7-Eleven at 8351 Martin Luther King Jr. St N. on July 10; and at a Mobile gas station at 2210 Martin Luther King Jr. St. N. on July 17, according to Detective Allyn Stone.
He is also suspected in, but hasn’t been charged with, two others – one at a Walgreen’s store at 900 49th St. N. on July 6, and one at Choice Food Store at 2801 22nd Ave. N. on July 10, Stone said.
Prosecutors may be asked to include these two robbers in their case against Warkocz to illustrate a pattern in his alleged crimes.
