The sun just started shining on Precinct 127, which is on Davis Islands.
Several voters walked in with umbrellas open as the last heavy raindrops fell, only to emerge moments later to sunny skies.
The precinct, which is in the Sandra W. Freedman Tennis Complex, was seeing a steady trickle of voters in the 15 minutes or so we were there.
Duane Eatherly, a 41-year-old research analyst, stopped by to vote after work. He expected voter turnout to be low for the day, and didn’t expect to rain to help that much.—Anthony McCartney
