The election night party for Charlie Crist doesn’t start until 7 p.m., but the media is already here at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg. There are television trucks from around the state parked outside, and a cluster of newspaper reporters and photographers setting up computers inside.
With no one to interview yet, the reporters are starting to talk to each other (yes, we converse every now and then). Any predictions, a television reporter asked a veteran newspaper reporter?
