SUN CITY CENTER - A 56-year-old New Jersey man was killed at 12:30 a.m. Thursday when his truck was hit while traveling north on Interstate 75, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Joseph Hanula, of 2125 Still Water Road in Newton, N.J., was driving with his lights off when another motorist struck him from behind, a highway patrol news release stated.
Hanula’s 2003 Chevrolet pickup was pushed into a tree. He was pronounced dead by paramedics.
The driver of the other vehicle, Robbie Colemire III, of 306 Skag Creek Road in Foster, Ky., was not injured, the news release said. No charges were immediately filed.
