RIVERVIEW - A 38-year-old Riverview man died early this morning after a motorist turned into the path of his motorcycle, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
Roger Brian Roberts was eastbound on Big Bend Road about 1:40 a.m. Thursday when a 2002 Pontiac northbound on Summerfield Boulevard made a right turn into the path of Roberts’ 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, deputies said. The motorcycle struck the right rear corner of the Pontiac and went down, deputies said.
Roberts died of his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Pontiac, Robert Charles Brown III, 19, of Riverview, was not injured, deputies said.
The investigation continues.
