Two lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge were closed Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle accident.
Traffic was backed up for more than an hour after the wreck accident happened occurred about 1:45 p.m. The motorcycle’s driver, who witnesses said was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour, was injured.
More information from the Florida Highway Patrol was not immediately available Saturday night.
I don’t ride a motor cycle. They are to dangerous for me. However I was on that bridge and I did not see a motor cycle pass me at a high rate of speed, but there was a white SUV that was going at least 80 mph if not more. Changing lanes constantly. We sat there and waited for the hr or so. We were surprised at how clam and patient everyone seemed to be. I know we could not do anything but wait, but it was nice not to hear everyone complaining

Actually its not motorcycle drivers that make it unsafe for everyone.. many people don’t watch what they are doing and have hit motorcyclists. I don’t have a bike but I know a lot of people that have wreckedto get out of the way of a car or that have actually been hit by cars… so next time think before you change lanes...is there a bike in your blind spot? check twice
