TAMPA - A homicide investigation is under way in the shooting death of Miguel Angel Suarez, 25, of Tampa, Hillsborough County sheriff’s spokeswoman Debbie Carter said. Suarez was found lying in the street at Himes and Sligh avenues Saturday morning.
A resident called 911 about 4 a.m. to report hearing shots fired, Carter said. Deputies found Suarez with gunshot wounds. He later died at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Investigators are looking for a light colored 1990 to 1995 Mercury Sable seen in the area at the time of the shooting, Carter said.
