This is a list of the safest and most dangerous cities overall, as compiled by Morgan Quitno Press, which bases the rankings on FBI figures released in June. The list starts with the safest cities and ends with the most dangerous. (Read Related Story)

Hi, Bob. actually i tried to post the demographics from the U.S. Dept. of justice web site. i did that on Oct. 30 at 2-pm. see my previouse post dated 10/30 - 3:09pm. that post is refering to the fact that news organizations will NOT print/broadcast the numbers from the feds. they aslo will not show you the link to the graph. so you will have to search for it. sorry, Dave
David,Of course black people who say kill white people are racist, but what did that have to do with the comments you made. You weren’t expressing racial pride, you were expressing ignorance, there is a big difference.Me calling you out isn’t being “politically correct”(which is ruining this country) I was just stating the truth. Also, no one will tell you to take down your rebel flag, they might remind you that the South lost though. Now,where are your demographics on crime being a black thing? Don’t make yourself look more ignorant if possible.
Bob, when you hear Black people sing kill white people in their songs do you call them bigots or racist-? so when white people express racial pride it is politicaly correct to call them bigots and racist. and when you see a MLK street sign or a Malcom X shirt it is just fine, but if i put up a Confederate flag the city will tell me to take it down. Hmmmmm, nice city you live in, to bad it is not as equal as YOU want it to be. open your eyes.
oh wait the list is backwards….
omg miami is 327 and tampa is 316 we are more dangerous than miami…. are you kidding?
It always amazes me when you post comments like the ones made by David Smith,an obvious bigot, who is ignorant enough to think crime is a “black thing”. Criminals come in every color genius.By the way,our WHITE ancestors had to STEAL this country before they built anything ;D
Can’t we all just get along?
Crime is a Black thing, don’t agree. prove me wrong, show me the demographics.
still and all every time my car got stolen or house got broken into and the idiot got caught that werent white.
We got 26 out of 371 thats 7% really coo so what do we need cops for.
This list is a joke. I wouldn’t expect anything else from the news. You have Livonia, Mi ranked 37 and Detroit Mi ranked at 370. Livonia is a suburb of Detroit. Why not include all suburbs then?
Hey Pete,
I used to live in Round Rock, TX the 13th safest city in America according to the list. Round Rock is a suburb of Austin, TX. There was a very large Hispanic community in the Austin area and surrounding suburbs, so your comment about the “with the highest white population had the lower crime rates.†is complete inaccurate (Austin came in at 158).
Dude, pull your head out of the sand or what ever orifice you have it stuck in, this is 2006, not 1960! As others have stated, crime knows no color, there are criminals in every race.
You know everyone who comments on how race is the reason why places are dangerous…if you think about it the more the people there are in one area the more crime so of course big cities are going to be high and all the racist comments are IGNORANT ..white pople are most of the serial killers and black and hispanics do most of the robberies and stupid crimes…so all of the races do there own share of crime..white black orange doesnt matter and the people who are making the racists comments should be ashamed of themselves…doesnt matter what color a person is they are PEOPLE…character not color matters and obviously your character sucks
Hmmmm….“white guilt” the only thing white people are guilty of is neglecting the country they built. they should have stopped immigration a long time ago. and now it is to late. if any of the white people had any brains they would leave this country to the 3rd world parasites that are degrading it. or send them all back. chew on that…..
i didn’t think you would post it. most news organizations tend to shy away from anything that regards non-whites as criminals, even if it is the truth.
WOW Pete, it is 2006 and you are still in the black and white thing. Crime has no color…Are you that far up the “right wings” ##### that you believe that “minority” folks are to blame for everything or do you suffer from “white guilt?” Since you are throwing around the left wing BS, I believe it is white guilt. This was not a study, as you say, this is a list of cities that report crime statistics. Come up to the ages and see that black and white is so in the past, the white folks are soon to be the minority in this country, chew on that for a bit…
Relative to the statement in the first paragraph ...
“The list starts with the safest cities and ends with the most dangerous.”
... the list is as it should be.
In response to the comment of Mr. Pete Dias: I grew up in a town five miles from Dover, NJ (the 14th safest town in this country). This is a town of mostly Hispantic or people of other racial backgrounds, and has been for many years. I never felt unsafe at any time while doing my shopping or eating in any of the resteurants in the evenings. So, Mr. Dias unles you have been to every town/city on the list you might want to keep your thoughts to yourself.
Oh please Pete..shut up and stop generalizing.
What is so striking to me about this sotry is the missing information. The study fails to mention that the cities with the highest white population had the lower crime rates. While the cities with higher minority populations suffered from higher crime. This is just another example of the left wing media in this country hiding the true.
Relative to the headline you’ve got the list reversed.

and Bob, my comment on 10/31 at 11:54-am stating that “crime is a Black thing” was meant for the Tampa Tribune to prove the facts they decided not to publish/post were wrong. as you can see they elected NOT to post them or prove them incorrect. why?, you will have to ask them. Dave
