Out in front of the purple Cathedral of Faith Church, a small group of Jim Davis supporters has assembled.
Davis is supposed to arrive her shortly and wave signs to motorists driving by on busy North 30th Street.
Supporters are giddy that sunlight is poking through the clouds. That wasn’t the case an hour ago, said Katrina Billups.
“Don’t be shy,” she told supporters holding signs for everyone from Davis to Hillsborough County Commission candidate Kevin White and Ken Allen.
Billups is sporting a T-shirt of the woman standing next to her, Arthenia Joyner.
Joyner, too, is thrilled about the break in the clouds.
“I think people want a change and they’re coming. They’re coming in. And that’s a good thing,” Joyner said.—Anthony McCartney
