TAMPA - Police are looking for a woman and another person who burst into a man’s open hotel room at the Red Roof Inn Wednesday and took his wallet.
About 8:14 p.m., Roger Collins, 53, was working on his computer at the hotel at 2307 E. Busch Blvd. with the room’s door open, according to Tampa police. A woman about 18 to 20 years old wearing a ski mask and another masked person thought to be a teenager burst into the room pointing a firearm and said, “Give me your stuff,” police said.
Collins showed them his wallet was empty, but the pair grabbed it anyway and left, police said. No one was hurt.
Police described the woman as black with a dark complexion, about five feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds. Police described the teenager as black with a dark complexion, standing about 5-feet-6 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. The person had shoulder-length, wavy black hair, but police could not specify the person’s gender because of the teenager’s mask.
