Homeless Man Killed Crossing Nebraska Ave.
TAMPA - Police are investigating whether to file charges against a Tampa man who struck and killed a homeless man crossing North Nebraska Avenue Wednesday night.
Donald L. Minor, 49, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital shortly after the crash about 9 p.m. Wednesday, Tampa police said.
Police said Minor was crossing North Nebraska Avenue from the north side of Hanna Avenue when he stepped into the path of a 1998 Mercury van. The van’s driver, Lionel Martin, 66, was not charged pending further investigation, police said.
