Video: Former Buc Arrested

TAMPA - A former NFL running back is being held in a Tampa jail on charges of marijuana possession, DUI and carrying
a concealed firearm.
Rabih Abdullah was arrested this morning after police noticed him driving erratically and then found a gun and marijuana in his car.
The former player for Tampa Bay, Chicago and New England is in jail on three-thousand dollars bond.
A police report says Abdullah failed a field sobriety test and refused a breath test at the jail.
In 2004, Abdullah was charged with a DUI and leaving the scene of an accident in Illinois. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a year’s probation and sent to an alcohol and substance abuse
counseling.
Jail records list Abdullah’s occupation as a loan officer for a Clearwater financial firm. A company official won’t comment on Abdullah’s employment.
I wonder why his employer is not named. Hmmm...perhaps the company has a stadium named after it.
The thing that gets me is that if he can still run the forty in under 4.6 secs....some NFL team will sign him to a lucrative contract??
Wish I could run faster!
Hope he does not get probation again.
How tall is he? I guess we can suppose what might happen if he was in Nebraska
and went before a certain lady judge.
This just baffels me. Everyday it seems I hear more and more stories of these high-profile athletes getting into trouble with the law. It’s really not that hard to be a law-abiding citazen. These fools just don’t know how fortunate they really are. They earn enough money in their short careers to live off of the rest of their lives, especially if they invest it well. Yet in the long run they all end up broke because they blow it on booze, drugs and paying legal fees and other assorted fines. I would seem most of these people have more money than they do sense. It’s such a shame. I guess it really rings true that a fool and his money do part quickly.
