The room at the Embassy Suites hotel in Orlando is still being set up for U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL). Oddly, in the middle of audio checks for the media, food set-ups and endless power supplies, Nelson’s communications director was on speaker phone with the senator, reading his suggested speech for tonight. Afterwards, Nelson told the communications director, he liked it. So he plans to fax it over and the senator will rework it for tonight.
The speech reading came three hours before the polls closed and sounds much like a victory address… one thanking his friends, family supporters and the like. The senator is expected here around 6 tonight….and will watch the results with his family- uninterrupted.
