ST. PETERSBURG - A fire damaged three garages, a lanai and burned two vehicles Sunday about 5:30 p.m., a fire rescue spokesman said.
Two garages, at 633 and 625 11th Ave. N., were “completely burned.” A third garage on nearby Kirkwood Terrace North had significant damage, said Lt. Rick Feinberg of St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue.
Two vehicles were destroyed: a vintage Ford Mustang in the garage at 633 11th Ave. N., and a pickup outside the garage at 625 11th Ave. N.
Debris from the fire fell onto two cars in the driveway at 621 11th Ave. N., and also damaged an unattached lanai at the house at 630 Kirkwood Terrace N., Feinberg said. Total damages are estimated at $150,000.
He said the cause is under investigation. A witness said sparks were seen coming from a power pole.
