ST. PETERSBURG – Police are looking for a serial thief who may have struck more than 18 times since July Fourth.

The man uses a crowbar to pry open the coin machines at laundry businesses and car washes, investigators said. He then drives away in a red, full-sized quad-cab pickup truck.
Investigators have clear video from three of the cases. They suspect the same man is the culprit in all 18 businesses because the same method was used.
Anyone with information on these cases is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at (727) 893-7780.
