THONOTOSASSA – The Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene of a crash near U.S. 301 Northbound and Williams Road.
Troopers said a car slammed into the back of a construction vehicle at 5:43 a.m. Emergency crews shut down one northbound lane of U.S. 301 between I-75 and Fowler Avenue this morning while they investigated the crash.
The road has been reopened.
Troopers said several people were taken to the hospital, but did not release any details.
