Some homes, businesses, and traffic signals on opposite sides of Tampa Bay were dark this morning.

In Pinellas County, Clearwater Police spokesperson Wayne Shelor says a power pole fell in the wake of a single vehicle vehicle crash, snapping electric lines.
Progress Energy spokesperson Lisa Newkirk said 2,700 customers lost service for about and hour and a half.
The blackout covered northwestern Clearwater, parts of Clearwater Beach, and Sand Key, according to Shelor.
The car crash occurred at at Plaza and Pennsylvania Avenues, just north of downtown, according to Shelor. There were no substantial injuries, he said.
Meanwhile, a blackout was also reported in South Tampa.
TECO told News Channel 8 that a broken transformer caused the outage and that the service disruption was centered around Armenia Avenue.
Some Traffic lights were out in the area along Kennedy Boulevard, according to News Channel 8.
