If you were late to work in downtown Tampa this morning because of a road block, you may have a pair of socks and a toothbrush to thank for your tardiness.
Those harmless items were discovered inside a suspicious package that Tampa police neutralized with a water cannon today. The package had been left near the door of the Federal Courthouse at 801 North Florida Avenue, according to Tampa police spokesperson Laura McElroy.
Officers blasted the package as a precaution.
Polk and Marion Streets had been closed around the courthouse, according to police.
