Previous: ‘Headache’ Leads To Wife’s Arrest
PORT ST. LUCIE - A man who said he awoke with a headache only to find he had been shot in the head told authorities he and his wife concocted the story.
April Moylan, 39, sleeps with a loaded .32-caliber revolver under her pillow, the couple told authorities.
When the burglar alarm went off at 4 a.m. Tuesday, the gun accidentally discharged and the bullet hit Michael Eugene Moylan, 45, just behind his ear.
The couple said that they could not call 911 because both of them are felons and are not supposed to have a gun, so they made up the headache story, authorities said Wednesday.
Michael Moylan was recovering Wednesday at a hospital. His wound was not considered life-threatening, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.
April Moylan was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was in custody Wednesday. Her bail was set at $75,000, the sheriff’s office said.
