ST PETERSBURG St. Petersburg Police are investigating the circumstances of an accident at Baywalk Friday night that sent a three-year-old boy to the emergency room.
The boy was hurt shortly after 9 p.m. at the popular entertainment complex.
It is not know whether a speaker from the second floor stage fell on him or the boy fell himself, police officials said.
The boy was awake and answering questions while being transported to Bayfront Medical Center.
#1 Why the hell is this little 3yr old boy at Baywalk this time of night?
#2 Where the hell were the parents?
A large group of friends and I were down there last night, and we saw it happen. A whole three minutes before we were in the exact location were the speaker fell. There is no possible way for the amount of blood that was on the ground and all over the father to be a case of him falling by himself. The speaker defiantley fell on him, and it was scary. The police officers there didn’t do anything, while strangers to the boy and the father were rushing to help. My friends and I are very dissppointed and shocked that this could happen at a spot we are always at. We send our prayers and hopes to the little boy and his family, and if anybody knows any details, we’d love to find out if he is okay.
Read the St. Petersburg Times. They have the whole story, as usual.
I was there with my friends when this happened. Though i did not see the accident happen many of my friends did and they all said the speaker hit him. I would really like to know more about how the boy is doing. He looked really bad last night. Everyone there would appreciate more info on his condition.
My stepdaughter saw it happen and she said the speaker fell on the little boy. She also said the police that were present didn’t do anything to assist.
I cannot believe this brief news bit is all we have heard on this horrible accident. My teenage daughter, and a large group of her friends, were there at Baywalk last night, in the area and saw it happen. They were all extremely upset by this, calling there parents crying, and like the previous comment, they all said the speaker fell on this poor baby. We would all very much like to hear how he is doing, and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
Your story says it’s unknown if the boy just fell himself or if as speaker fell on him. I was there tonight and I can tell you that the speaker fell on the boy. There was blood everywhere--far too much to be the result of a mere fall; it was serious head trauma--and you could plainly see the shattered speaker on the ground. Everyone there--and there were hundreds--said the speaker fell on him.

The family was out for games and ice cream, the father was with his child when it happened. There is no need to attack the parent for this accident. This is a terrible situation and the “story” fromthe St. Pete times isn’t correct in several of it’s statements. Be careful of judges others.
