Pit Bull Attacks Child

PLANT CITY - Hillsborough sheriff’s detectives are investigating a dog bite that has left a 20-month-old boy in critical condition.
Willa Tick took her grandson outside to feed the family’s mix-breed pit bull about 6 p.m. Wednesday. The dog attacked Ian Keo and bit him in the head and neck areas, causing extensive injuries, the sheriff’s office said. Ian was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.

The incident happened in the 3400 block of Juanita Drive.
The family has asked the hospital not to release more details about the boy’s condition.
