So far, the United States Attorneys Office hasn’t received any reports of election fraud in the Middle District of Florida, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Mosakowski.
Mosakowski is leading the office’s efforts in the Justice Department’s nationwide Election Day Program today. As district election officer, Mosakowski is responsible for overseeing the District’s handling of complaints of election fraud and voting rights abuses in consultation with Justice Department Headquarters.
Mosakowski says he hasn’t received any complaints in the Tampa Bay area, but his office is responsible for a large chunk of the state stretching up to the Georgia border.
So far the calls have involved relatively minor glitches, including a woman in Jacksonville whose records weren’t available, Mosakowski said, and someone in Fort Myers who had to drive 13 miles to vote by absentee ballot on Monday.
