HUDSON - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle wreck involving a Loomis armored truck that came to rest on its passenger side at State Road 52 in front of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
One person was flown by medical helicopter after the accident that happened just before 1 p.m.
Maurice Thurston of Wesley Chapel, who was driving the armored truck, was in the middle of his workday servicing ATMs, banks and supermarkets. A tow truck from Automotive Center of Hudson righted the vehicle, which weighed an estimated 25,000 pounds.
