TAMPA - One man held the gun, one drove the getaway car and a third took the bag and ran, investigators said.
Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies said they arrested the three Tampa men Wednesday night shortly after a man was robbed while trying to make a night deposit at Bank of America, 10301 Dale Mabry Highway.
Deputies said Andrew Adkins, 20, and Avery Adams, 19, approached the victim. Adkins brandished a handgun while the third man, Demetrius Wise, stayed in their car as a lookout, deputies said. The robbers took a deposit bag containing $172.
But deputies quickly stopped Wise’s car at Gunn Highway and Sheldon Road. In the car, they found the money, the gun and clothing closely resembling that worn during the robbery, according to arrest reports.
Each man was charged with armed robbery and was being held at Orient Road Jail late Thursday with no bail set.

Sounds like they had a good plan all except the $172. Idiots. Well at least they didn’t kill or injure the victim and they got caught. See...good things do happen to bad people.
