Noon, Precinct 335, St. Francis Episcopal Church, 6907 N. Nebraska Ave.
Shirley Bronson passes out pamphlets for candidate Chloe Coney. Four feet away, William M. Johnson passes them out for Kevin White. Maybe the candidates are competitors for Hillsborough County Commission District 3, but their representatives have no beef with each other.
“All we’re doing is passing out these papers,” Johnson says. “She has hers, I have mine. We just met, and we’re sitting here having fun.”
Bronson is unflappable about her role, too.
“Some people want these, some don’t,” she says, holding up a slick tract. “You can’t get mad about it.”
