This could be good news for Pasco commuters, but it could be another 10 years before work starts: The state’s Department of Transportation will hold a public workshop on Nov. 14 about the proposed widening of SR 54 from Curley Road (CR 577) to Morris Bridge Road (CR 579).
The state has proposed widening the two-lane highway to four and six lanes. Work might not happen until 2016, though. The state will have to acquire enough land for the widening.
The workshop is set for 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Links of Lake Bernadette, 5430 Links Lane in Zephyrhills.
