BRANDON - Santa is bushed and he’s only two hours into his day.
The Jolly Ol’ Elf is taking a break just before noon at the Westfield Brandon Mall, tired of having tykes on his knees, posing for pictures, making all sorts of demands on his generosity. His helpers say he has been at the mall since Nov. 9, and can’t wait until Christmas.
Surprisingly, Santa has not been too busy on Black Friday. While all the stores at the mall opened early, some at 4 a.m., expecting a crush of early Christmas shoppers, Santa sauntered in around 10 a.m.
“We keep regular mall hours,” said his faithful helper Krista Ellithorpe.
