U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will give a seconding speech for Barack Obama on the floor of the Democratic National Convention tonight.
She supported Hillary Clinton in the primaries, but then became active in seeking to win over women and South Florida Jewish voters for Obama. She’ll be one of four seconding speeches.
With Wasserman-Schultz added, it will be a big day for Floridians on the podium of the convention today—a total of four speakers.
U.S. Reps. Robert Wexler of Boca Raton and Kathy Castor of Tampa, and Melbourne resident Michael Wilson, an Air Force veteran and registered Republican, will have speaking slots.
