Tropical Storm Fay has formed in the Eastern Caribbean Sea and is making its way to the west. The storm is packing 40 mph wind and very heavy rainfall as it moves across the Dominican Republic and towards Haiti. There is a lot of uncertainty with the forecast track and intensity but at this point the Bay Area is in the forecast cone as the storm is expected to turn more northwest over the next couple of days. The storm is expected to maintain tropical storm strength as it nears the Sunshine State. Here is the latest track from the National Hurricane Center:

Folks in Central and South Florida should monitor this storm closely.
