If you’ve never been to Toronto, I highly suggest a visit.
First, it’s 75 degrees, sunny and no humidity! This northeasterner and her curly hair have been desperately in need of a humidity-free climate, so the weather is reason enough for me to be a Toronto fan.
Next, the subways run every 3-5 minutes, and are never that crowded. There’s none of that face-slammed-against-the-wall crowdedness you get in New York and Chicago. Plus, there are television screens in all the stations so you can catch up on the news while you wait.
Finally, people are so nice! No matter what the size of the city, it’s always a little more hectic to throw 20,000 more people in the mix. But Torontonians have been so helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations, and have been asking lots of questions about the conference.
I’m expecting my check from the Toronto tourist board any minute now…
