We’ll get a chance today and Tuesday to get used to the cold that should show up Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
Until then, though, things will be brisk, as we’ve seen the last of afternoons with temperatures above 70 until at least Friday.
Be prepared this morning for temperatures in the upper 40s with a wind chill closer to the mid-40s.
Forecasters at the weather service think today may reach the upper 60s after dropping to the mid-40s overnight in Tampa and 33 in Brooksville.
Actually, Tuesday morning should be a bit warmer. But then during the day another cold front rolls in to reinforce this one.
Tuesday night and Wednesday mornings could easily see record low temperatures in Tampa. The record low for Nov. 19 is 38 degrees set in 1951, but the forecast for Wednesday morning calls for temperatures in the low 30s and close to freezing.
In Brooksville, forecasters expect a freeze Wednesday morning with temperatures in the upper 20s.
Things don’t really begin to warm until Friday, but models are also talking about the possibility of another cold front moving in Sunday.
So for the bulk of this week, we’ll be seeing temperatures 10 to 15 degrees below normal.
