TAMPA - Kenny and Michelle Strawn saved for months for Black Friday.
And it paid off.
In about an hour, the couple bought appliances for their new home, including a refrigerator and stove.
The couple moved into a new South Tampa home last week and say they need everything.
They even purchased a TV and an expresso machine to make the home more comfy.
“There’s no need wasting time with nonsale items,” Kenny Strawn said at Westshore Plaza.
The couple arrived at 5:45 a.m. and by 7:30 a.m., felt they had made progress and moved on to do some Christmas shopping for family.
“If you’re going to spend a lot of money, today is the day to do it,” Kenny Strawn said.
Still, his wife said, the deals aren’t as great as she had hoped.
“It’s a great conscience saver,” she said. “The sales make you feel a little better about spending.”
