Temperatures may not have dipped into the 50s in Tampa as the weather service advertised, but a morning in the low 60s with scant humidity should be relished. That’s especially true since this probably will be the last time we’ll see weather like this for quite a while.
The temperature did dip into the 40s in Brooksville and high 50s in Lakeland, though.
Starting today the high pressure off the east coast will begin bringing Florida nice, soggy air from the southwest. Humidity and temperatures will climb, meaning days in the high 80s and nights that don’t cool much lower than the upper 60s.
There’s another cool front in the forecast for the weekend, though that’s expected to fall apart and not bring much in the way of rain or cooler weather.
But come Monday, another front is supposed to come close and fall apart. One model has that front bringing a decent chance of rain, but it’s the only model calling for that, so forecasters are kind of tossing it out for now. We’ll see whether some of the other models start falling in line.
