The weather service has a severe thunderstorm warning out for northern Hillsborough and southern Pasco. The storm is moving southeast at 7 mph.
People around Temple Terrace, Seffner and Hillsborough River State Park could get hit with the storm. A severe thunderstorm has the potential for winds up to 60 mph and hail the size of pennies. That’s along with torrential rain.
Also, the weather service says groups of thunderstorms are emerging near Interstate 75 with the line moving east past the interstate.
So far, that line of storms runs from Pasco south to Lee County.
Forecasters say folks can expect more of the storms to fire up through the afternoon.
