Well, the Ike news from the National Hurricane Center as of 11pm is even better for the Bay Area. Most of us are now OUT of the cone of uncertainty. The major storm is still expected to hit Cuba and weaken. However, if the eye doesn’t pass over the island nation...this weakening won’t happen. The Hurricane Center says it does have higher confidence in taking this storm into the central Gulf of Mexico because many of the models are coming into agreement. The storm should enter the Gulf on Tuesday.
