11:30 a.m. Pruner tells the jury it doesn’t make sense that Andrew Lunde and Darryl Daoust had the ability to kill Sarah, dump the body, lie low for a few hours then frame Onstott.
Andrew was 17 years old at the time. Darryl was 15. Neither had the “sophistication and the intellect” to pull that off, Pruner says.
The two would have needed the intelligence and forethought to plan their statements about when the beer bottle showed up on the table.
The two also would have had to understand the significance of whether Onstott asked Andrew to turn the porch light on so they could see him.
“That’s beyond the pale of imagination for Andrew Lunde and Darryl Daoust,” Pruner says.
