Alex Sink, Democratic candidate for governor, issued a statement today saying that “Rick Scott is lying” about her position on the much-debated federal tax cuts set to expire at year’s end.
Scott told reporters on Friday that Sink supports “eliminating, or not extending the Bush tax cuts” for the wealthiest U.S. households.
Not so, Sink says in a prepared statement. Here’s how she responded today to the Republican candidate’s claim: “I support the extension of the Bush tax cuts, because to let them expire will hurt our ability to get people back to work. We need to do everything we can to get people back to work.”
