The Clearwater Police Department estimated at 4,500 the crowd for the Sarah Palin rally this morning at Coachman Park.
Two people were ejected from the park but not arrested. Police did not have their names.
The Clearwater Fire Department treated five people at the rally for medical issues, two of whom were taken to a hospital with minor problems, the fire department said.
Two of those 5 people were transported to a local hospital with minor medical issues.
4,500...That’s it?
On Friday the campaign estimated 30,000 would attend. I was in the area and I believe even 4,500 is a generous estimate. It took less than 1 hour to admit everyone, and downtown was once again a ghost town by 10 AM.
