According to the Pinellas County Democratic Party, Barack Obama’s appearance in Tampa will be a mid-afternoon rally at the St. Pete Times Forum May 21, with tickets available to the public from the Democratic Party on a first-come, first-served basis.
But according to Jim Jackson, an Obama supporter and volunteer involved in putting the event together, the Forum is not yet confirmed as the venue, nor is the exact time. The Obama campaign also hasn’t confirmed the location yet.
He said tickets should be available as of Saturday.
The campaign had hoped to have a large rally open to the public, but was concerned about whether it could pull off the logistics and security necessary, campaign insiders had said.
