Sarah Palin opened her speech in Clearwater a few moments ago saying what pundits and analysts have been hinting for a few weeks, but which the McCain campaign has denied—that John McCain is an “underdog” in the presidential race.”
She started off talking about the Tampa Bay Rays, saying, “Some of the experts this year were kind of tough on the Rays – I’ve been there.”
She added, “Florida knows a little something about turning an underdog into a victor and together that’s what we can do – how about it Florida, let’s do that for Sen. John McCain.”
