After drawing a contrast between McCain and Obama on their support for the military, Palin paused a moment to thank people in the crowd for the way they are showing support.
“Some of your signs just make me want to cry,” she says, her voice breaking for a moment. “Thank you so much.”
She goes on to praise McCain’s military record as a naval aviator, and notes that his path took him through the Sunshine State. McCain was trained at Pensacola Naval Air Station.
“That’s where he learned to do what he does, here in Florida,” Palin says.
She also says, “Florida is home to millions of veterans,” as well as active duty personnel.
