When the cold, arctic air slides south from Canada across the relatively warm waters of the Great Lakes...we get some large snowfall amounts on the southeast side of the lakes called ”LAKE EFFECT SNOW.” Check out the graphic that shows some areas could pick up close to a foot of snow before the end of the work week! They could see snowfall rates of 2-3 inches per hour.
I guess we can’t complain too much about our chilly weather. At least don’t have to shovel sunshine!
