The television cameras don’t seem to be panning the crowd today, but in case they do, Zachary Deaton, 6, and his sister, Allison Deaton, 4, are ready.
The siblings are holding up two signs offering up encouragement for the crew and the Tate family.
Watching the “Extreme Makeover” is a Sunday night tradition for the Deaton family, said Kristy Deaton, the children’s mother.
She explained to the children what happened to the Tates when the plane crashed, and says she wants her kids to learn that helping people who are in need is the right thing to do.
“In their 6- and 4-year-old minds, this is just what people do,” Kristy Deaton says.
