Then Sunken Gardens is the place for you! This venerable St. Petersburg institution was once known for its kitschy religious merchandise in the gift shop. After the attraction got a makeover, the gift shop has become much more tasteful. There’s still some kitsch, but it’s tongue-in-cheek. Plus, there are some neat things that aren’t horribly expensive. For instance, I’m getting my little nieces these fruit-themed backpacks:

They also have strawberries. Too cute!
Sunken Gardens is a nice place to take a break from the holiday craziness. The gardens are a serene stroll, and then you can do a little shopping so you feel productive. Have fun!
