Front Brings Couple Cool Mornings But Not Much Else

The “cold” front that moseyed through here Monday and early today should provide a few cooler mornings and afternoons that may still be in the low 80s but won’t feel quite as muggy as things have been lately. In late April that’s about all you can expect from a front, though any morning below 60 will seem golden come June or July.

The air will be a lot drier through today and Wednesday as high pressure settles in for a brief stay. Relative humidity will drop below 30 percent on Wednesday. That feels nice but also makes it easier for wildfires to spread.

The front didn’t bring much in the way of rain, generally less than one-tenth of an inch.

Things then slowly will get back to where they were last week, with days in the middle 80s and mornings in the 60s, or just about normal for now.

A cold front forecasters have been watching the past few days looks like it’s going to fall apart as it reaches us and not really bring much in the way of lower temperatures. It might spark a few showers or thunderstorms in the afternoons on Sunday and Monday.
