A Killer's Grip

Focus On The Victims

The University of Florida campus is buzzing with students walking to class, backbacks over their shoulders. There’s little sign of Danny Rolling’s pending execution outside the local and state newspapers around campus. The Independent Florida Alligator, the UF student paper, dedicated two pages today to the story. But there’s no picture of Rolling and little mention of him. Instead, each of the five victims – Sonja Larson, Christina Powell, Christa Hoyt, Manuel Taboada and Tracy Paules, are profiled so students can know the vibrant lives that were lost.
