In yet another sign of the tight links between the McCain campaign and Gov. Charlie Crist’s political network, John McCain has hired former Crist campaign manager Arlene DeBenigno as his state director.
Once an aide to former Gov. Jeb Bush, DeBegnino joined Crist’s campaign when several other Bush aides sided with Crist’s 2006 primary opponent, Tom Gallagher. She became campaign manager and later political director when the campaign was taken over by Crist’s long-time right-hand man, George Lemieux.
McCain has put his southern regional headquarter in Tallahassee—a move that disappointed some Florida Republicans, because of the relative inaccessibility of Florida’s capital city—partly to facilitate coordinating the McCain campaign with the Republican Party.
She’ll do an awesome job. Congrats to her. Sen. McCain will be well served.

What a shame. That girl is an evil, evil person. I challenge you to find anyone who likes her.
