Gov. Charlie Crist is scheduled to arrive in Washington this evening to attend a roundtable discussion with Sen. Mel Martinez and others Wednesday morning in support of the U.S.-Colombia Trade Agreement.
Wednesday night, Crist is expected to appear at a dinner of the Council of 100, a group representing business interests.
Other details of Crist’s public itinerary at the nation’s capital were not immediately available.
The Wednesday morning event has Crist also appearing with Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez and several other Republican senators. The group is planning to launch a Hispanic coalition of grassroots activists in support of the U.S.-Colombia Trade Agreement, according to Martinez’ office.
Crist is to speak the the media afterward.
