Barack Obama’s campaign has now confirmed that he’ll hold a rally open to the public at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, with free tickets available from local Democratic Party offices, on Wednesday.
The time hasn’t been announced yet, but local Obama supporters say it will be around mid-day.
Tickets will be available starting around noon Saturday on a first-come, first-served basis from the Hillsborough County party office in Tampa at 4221 N. Himes Avenue, Ste. 100; and the Pinellas County party office at 2250 First Ave N. in St. Petersburg.
I say this in defense of all of us whom fall under the guidance of a religious leader ,If Senator Obama is not worthy of holding this post as President one day based on the opinions and mental state of another, who in this case is Rev. Wright. Then the WHOLE Catholic Church whom leader pope Benedict conceals the identities and moves the leaders and members of its organization who have been known and or suspected of a more severe indictment such as RAPE and sexually battery and misconduct against children both boys and girls and more often reported against young men. Every politician under their spiritual influence should have their assignments stripped.
Mr. Knight,
Why do you think that this country will go down the tubes with Sen. Obama in office?
Tough to go any further down the tube than what Bush and the Republican Party has brought this country in the last 7 years.
There is no way this man is qualified to run the USA. Anyone who spends 20 years in the company of Rev. Wright and only now finds the man offensive is less than credible. His voting record [or lack of] in the Senate would make him a fine politician in Europe.
butch, you’recertainly entitled to vote for who you chose. One has to question your true motives as to why this time you’ll vote republican.
Obama cannot be worse than Bush if he tried.
I would be curious as to why you would say that. Do you think our country is in really terrific shape right now? There is no way I would want to be even remotely responsible for four more years of Republican leadership.
I, for one, am looking forward to Obama’s visit to Tampa and his presidency!
YES WE CAN!!
Its already down the tubes, dude. It can only get better from here.
I too am a union man who will proudly vote for Obama. If the country can survive 8 years of Bush and his failed Administration, it can survive anything or anyone.
The GOP brand is dead!
Do you really think McCain will be better for this country? He is a freakin mini bush...It would be great if a Libretarian would get nominated and win. I must say, even though I was sort of anti Obama, (or any of the major party candidates) I think I would opt for him over McCain.
Butch, our country has been going “down the tubes” for some time now in case you haven’t been following the news. What we desperately need is a new administration to take us in a more productive and positive direction. I know change can be scary, but drastic times require drastic measures. Obama = hope for middle class America. He is exactly what we need to cleanse the corruption that has plagued our country over the last eight years.
I will be there to suuport Obama… I mean future President Obama
I don’t see how it can work with Obama. The black leaders we have seen in the last few years would be a disgrace to see them in the White House. Then would they Riot if he didn’t treat them the way they want.
I love how all of you so called Union people are willing to vote for McCain. Bush has spent the past 7 years, trying to abolish the unions. I spent 10 yrs serving, in Iraq, lost a lot of friends to a useless war. An for the life of me I can understand why so many people are scared of change. Everyone of you who agree that this country is on the right course and believe that McCain will take it there. Then I challenge you to go to the funeral of a soldier as their mother and father is burying there 18, 19 year old and ask them is it worth it. An tell them that you agree with the Bush McCain Agenda. When you no longer have a Union or a Job because of the Bush trade agreement with Big Corp. You can be proud to say that you voted for McCain
Right on! Only the uninformed vote for a Democrat.
Is Rev Wright his opening act?
I am interested in what he has to say;there have been so many things that have been said about him. I am more than curious to hear his views for myself. I am a dis-satisfied voter that is leaning more and more towards an independent ticket, even though I am a registered Republican. Real life, though is another matter. At least Mr. Obama is presenting a fresh viewpoint for a change, instead of the status quo.By the way, I would be just as interested in hearing what the other two have to say as well.An informed choice is what I’m after.
I too will vote republican if Obama gets the nomination. I am 56 and have voted Democrat my whole life and most of my family has as well. This is one election I will change my vote to republican even tho I am not real happy with that nominee either. If McCain chooses Romney as his runing mate and let him handle the domestic issues and McCain handle the foreign issues then that may be the way to go. But hey what do I know, I am just a tax paying hard working voter who had my vote in Florida not counted.
That’s great news Butch! A few more people with that attitude and McCain is a lock in November.
Barak Obama and the witch he calls his wife will not be welcome hear in Flroida. We will not put up with anyone who is AntiAmerican and hates any one but black people. Black people are welcome here but not the Obama’s. So they can just not come to florida we do not tolarate there type !
I am 57 a union man all my life,if obama
wins nomination, I will vote republican
for 1st time in my life. This country
will go down the tubes with obama in
office.

The jest is this, the Bible which is the word of GOD with all words inspired of his Heart instructs Men and Women to follow their own hearts over any man and I believe Senator Obama has done just that by his dis-association from Rev. Wright and his philosophy..... If that does not appease the opposition that a man can see something wrong in his life and adjust it, then I formally now and forever like all Americans should Charge Sen. John McCain as being a racist and a radical separatist for his initial voting down of the First Arizona law to make Martin Luther King day a Holiday in the Great State of Arizona.
